Umwelt has an established Health and Safety Management System that is aligned with AS/NZ ISO 45001.
Our ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is seamlessly integrated with our ISO 9001 Quality Management System to provide assurance to the client, that we operate a systemised approach based on sound risk management, unpinned by a cycle of continuous improvement culture.
Umwelt operates a centralised safety management system (see certificate for certified location) that aligns with our values and beliefs that safety is paramount: and people are our most valuable asset; this certification acknowledges our continued commitment to a safe and healthy workplace. With a culture committed to safety we will achieve our objective of a zero harm workplace.
Our Quality Management
Umwelt projects are inline with our established AS/NZ/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements. Our certified office locations are identified within our certificate.
Our certified Integrated Management System (IMS) and 20 years in the environmental consulting industry provides surety of consistent service delivery. Umwelt’s IMS is user friendly and flexible enough to meet our varied and changing needs whilst providing rigorous base controls to ensure effective business operation and quality control.
Umwelt’s IMS demonstrates our commitment to deliver consistent quality services, and the prioristion of the health and safety of our employees through the establishment of a continuous improvement cycle.
Our Integrated Management System, operates with each function aligned behind a single goal: improving the performance of the entire organisation and enhancing employee and customer satisfaction.
Project Management Approach
Our project management approach under the QMS is comprised of nine interrelated stages, with the aim of providing consistent value for money, high quality services and project outcomes to our clients and stakeholders. At Umwelt, a value for money, high quality service or project outcome is one that:
- achieves customer satisfaction;
- is delivered within an agreed scope, timeframe and budget;
- is technically and scientifically robust;
- considers the needs and requirements of key stakeholders;
- complies with relevant legal and other requirements; and

Umwelt’s QMS is applied consistently to all office locations and site activities and covers processes used to provide any service to our clients.
